was only following instructions from above "draft kept going and person taking duplicate player can update their pick later" not blaming you, blaming the system, it doesnt make sense

was only following instructions from above "draft kept going and person taking duplicate player can update their pick later" not blaming you, blaming the system, it doesnt make sense I would tend to more inclined that if an owner accidently made an incorrect/duplicate pick that the draft would continue in its normal order and the clock of course starts for the next in line at the time of the incorrect pick. The owner that accidently made the mistake could very well lose out on players that were available at the time of his original pick if he does not catch the mistake pretty quick. I think that your reasoning of he should be placed at the end of the round because when he corrected his mistake he took a player that you thought may fall to you on your pick later in the round is not a legit reason at all. If he had of not made the mistake of picking a player already taken earlier in the draft then by the choice of his corrected pick pretty well indicates that minus the mistake this was who he would have chosen and his pick was was several positions in the draft earlier than yours. In this instance the mistake was caught quickly and corrected before another pick was even made so for sure no harm no foul on this situation. In the event that both he and whoever is picking next since he is on a "pick anytime" basis were to actually try to pick the same player I would tend to think that whoever entered the player first on the board would be the rightful owner. We have been fortunate thusfar in this has been a rare occurence but as we get deeper in the rounds it could come up again and a honest mistake should not cost someone their draft position in more than what they may lose because of picks being made in the meantime between the mistake being discovered and corrected. Actually the best way to take advantage of someone making this type of mistake is to be ready to make your pick as soon as possible when you hit the clock. Not only will you have the opportunity to pick a player the other team may have very well picked but it will speed up the draft process as well. This is my opinion of this type of situation, others may see it differently.

Actually if there is to be a discussion on this issue perhaps all post related to this should be moved to the general section for further discussion.
