There will NOT be a salary cap in place during the 2010 season. We will not currently use player contracts of any kind.

FOOTBALL APPROVAL BOARD
One thing that this league will be using is the Football Approval Board which will consist of 7 members (including the commissioner). While I get to know everyone in the league there will temporary be 3 members of the FAB. This will be used for trade approval and as part of a league hierarchy when instituting name changes. I will discuss the policy with each member of the FAB. If you are interested in joining the FAB please give me a holler. The FAB has several tasks including the following:
Moderate Trades/Drafts The FAB will moderate trades minimally. The purpose of moderation is to make sure that someone who isn't being taken advantage of. This will help members new to a dynasty league from making bonehead decisions. I will not let players trade Steven Jackson for a 3rd round rookie draft pick. Voting for trade disapproval will work in the following way. To veto a trade it will require 4 members to overrule. Each trade will require only 3 votes to pass. I will discuss the policy with each member of the FAB. If you are interested in joining the FAB please give me a holler.
UPDATE - Trades may not be vetoed by the commissioner exclusively.
Keep forum rules enforcedA member of the FAB will be a moderator on the board to help keep everything in check. I.E. Make sure everyone is posting their topics in the right forum, and if not notifying the user and moving the thread.
Help with the General Runnings of the League Recruiting to entering rosters on our ESPN league, these are tasks that the FAB may do if the need arises or you are feeling charitable.
League RulesA vote on league rules will have to pass 4-2 (and a general majority) in the FAB before the commissioner may pass it or veto it. A vote of 6-0 will be required to override a veto from the commissioner.

DRAFT RULES
All drafts will be slow drafts with a clock of 24 hours starting after the pick before you is made. If you miss your pick your team will go into pick anytime mode. If you miss too many of your picks we will look into replacing you.
2010 Initial Draft The 2010 Initial Draft will be once the league is full and all members are active. The draft order will determined by a random number generator. The draft will be a serpentine with an added third. The 1st round will be in the drawn order and the 2nd and 3rd round will be the reverse that, after that the draft will progress as a normal serpentine. This draft will include rookies. All offensive and IPD players will go in the same draft. 40 Round Draft.
2011 and Beyond Rookie Draft 2011 Draft will be a 6 round draft. Draft order will be determined by the same method as the NFL Draft. Tiebreakers will be handled by points scored, head to head, and divisional records, in that order.
2010 Draft Trading Rules Trading of draft picks is fine by me, but for the Initial Draft you MUST have the same number of picks as you started with (40) in this draft. The rookie draft in 2010/2011 is fair game.

Trading Rules You are allowed to trade freely and encouraged to do so. The trade deadline will be Week 10 of the NFL regular season and will resume at the beginning of the postseason (2 weeks after the Super Bowl). Remember any dump trades or n00b trades will be trashed by the commissioner or the Football Approval Board, so please don't even try.

Division and Scheduling
There will be 4 divisions of 4 teams consisting of the NFL West, NFL East, AFL West, and the AFL East. The divisions are there to help build a rivalry between clubs. Each club will play it's divisional rivals twice a year, one other division, and 3 randomly selected other teams from the other two divisions.
At Week 13 the Regular Season ends and the playoffs begin. The top 8 teams will make the playoffs. No team will receive a bye week. The playoffs will end on Week 16. So that nobody will have to play their players the dreaded last week of the season.
