Each team must receive the same # of picks.

Each team must receive the same # of picks. thought that was for this years draft only? I gained a 3rd and 7th, he gained a 4th and 13th. So we both will have 40 picks this year.

isnt that only for the 2010 draft? because we both still have the same number of picks this year

but in 2011 you will have 2 extra picks.
you could just throw in 2 later picks just to make it even

Trading of draft picks is fine by me, but for the Initial Draft you MUST have the same number of picks as you started with (40) in this draft.
Guess I took that to mean we just had to have 40 picks this year, and our 2011 rookie picks were up for grabs.

The way it reads to me. For this year (initial drat) the picks must be equall. but for the future it did not need to be. 9 times out of 10 I just go along with the commish, but I think it will restrict trading if we have equall out the picks every year. What if you just want to trade a player for and extra rookie pick? That's how you rebuild isn't it?

Yes actually that makes alot of sense.
Equal picks this year, but you can have however many you want in 2011.

i assume for next year we would keep the same 40 man roster and then whatever rookies we draft we have the option to keep, and then cut another one of our players, or we can just not add that rookie?
so i would basically just have to cut two extra players....
just im clear, the trade is accepted by the league, everythings good?

Gotta love a little draft day controversy Most fun this drafts been since it started lol. My vote would be for allowing the trading of future (2011) picks for players w/out having to worry about ensuring all of us have an equal amount of rookie picks, but then again, I'm not the commish.
