just curious if the commish has looked at the stats in the espn site using the planned scoring. I definitely like the idea of increasing the value of IDPs, but some of the results are...interesting. I like strong scoring for return yards, but using current settings, Domenik Hixon was the #13 overall WR, Danny Amendola was the #4 overall. Are you sure you want to score return yards so strongly? Fitzgerald ends up as only the #12 overall, Andre Johnson in only the #6. RBs see a huge dropoff after the top talent/ kick returners. I realize this is the Commish's league and I completely respect that, I just wanted to point some of the stats out.. I got these numbers from the 2009 stats on the ESPN league site. The projections for 2010 fantasy stats seem more typical, I'm guessing the projections dont account for KR/PR yards. I hope I'm not offending anyone by raising these questions, I just wanted to point them out.

Yea i was just using my previous fantasy leagues scoring, but we can adjust them. I haven't got around to checking the actual scoring but you do make a very interesting point. I want to value KR/PR players, but not super high. If you have any suggestions what we should lower them to let me know.

I play in another league where 15 KR/PR yards = 1 pt. That seems to work well as far as adding value to some players without making them overpowered. Some ideas: Maybe give 1 pt for receptions? Something to boost the WRs values. Right now they are completely dominated by all the IDPs. I love 12 pts for ints. These are game changing plays and should be rewarded, but are you sure you want to give that player another 12 pts for the TD as well? For that matter, even the 12 pts for FR TDs and KR TDs seems kinda strong. Even something like 8 pts would be enough to reward a huge play like that. Just ideas..

This is supposed to be an PPR lg, but i forgot to edit the scoring. I will make sure to fix that.
I also was questioning the 12 td for fumbles, ints, and returns. 8 pts seems reasonable.
Thanks alot for your input

With the draft under way, what is the final verdict on scoring (return yards, IDP)? I'm sure this will sway many people's picks in future rounds.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I had assumed that the scoring on the ESPN league page were what we were working to
